The works of Philip Morris Jr.
Who am I? I am a physcist, and artist. A photographer and a writer. A designer and a developer. A father and a husband. Not in that order.
Why am I called Puma (sometimes Poomah)?
I was introduced to the internet in late 1988. It was a different beast back then. There was less than 200 newsgroups and you could only find software using a text based search engine. (Yep this was a little bit before the web and html was created.) A number of groups I posted to already had people posting both as Phil and Philip. Since I don’t like constantly answering the same question about my name (Philip Morris), I started using the name Puma. People in the news groups I frequented encouraged my use of the name. I’ve been Puma ever since.
Where do you live? I grew up in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia, USA. I attended local schools, excelled in Math and Science as well as many artistic hobbies. I decided at a young age that I wanted to work in robotics at NASA. I did that for a while then moved on to other things. I meet the woman of my dreams in 2000, got married, had kids and moved to North Carolina so my kids could grow up around their grandparents. I have no intention of moving.
Got any interesting hobbies? I have many hobbies, but my most notable hobby is photography. I also love to cook and woodworking. I don’t try to mix any of the hobbies, they are mutually exclusive.
What do you do for a living? I’m a web architect as well as a professional photographer.
Can you handle more freelance jobs right now? Definitely. My family always comes first. So my workload always goes through them first.
Got a resume? Of course updated Feb 3, 2010 Philip_Morris_Resume
Where can I find more about you online? I have a linkedin profile and a facebook profile.
