Web Architect
This isn’t a term to be taken lightly or to be thought of as a cutsie industry term. I hold an Architect to be more than someone who can do both design and development. There are plenty of people out there that are good developers that can kind of make a decent design as well as good designers that have stumbled through learning how to develop some software to support their designs. An Architect is someone who excels at both. A person that studies both and continues to stay current in both.
Would I say that I’m an expert in both design and development? No. I don’t like the term expert. To me an expert is someone who can’t grow anymore. They know all there is to know on the subject (or think they know everything.) I prefer to think as myself as a professional. A professional doesn’t know it all, but does practice on a daily basis and is (or should be) in a state of constant training and learning.
I need to add some screenshots of my work from 2009 once the sites are live.
